On the 9th April, I joined Carly and Louis for their fun – filled and action packed day at the beautiful Cripps Stone Barn in the Cotswolds. I had briefly met the couple before at Lee and Paul’s London DIY wedding, and knew they were a barrel of laughs. We had chatted too about their big day and I just knew it would be relaxed and a brilliant occasion.
Cripps Stone Barn is just the perfect setting for any type of wedding, but this was something else. Carly had decorated it perfectly, fitting with the rustic theme of the barn and the weather! THE WEATHER!! It couldn’t be England, I kept thinking to myself! It was just amazing all day long! The barn is kitted out with a huge open kitchen and fire, which cooked up the best wedding food ever!
I joined the girls in the morning at the hotel, where they cracked open a bottle of champagne and started celebrating from the off! I then hopped over to Louis’ room where I was greeted with men in pants…No problem for myself and the guys over at Mrs Mashup Videography! We took it in our stride and had a laugh! Carly looked stunning in her simple, but elegant wedding dress and Louis pulled off the tweed/knitted suit awesomely.
Then it was off to the Stone Barn, where the ceremony was held under a huge circle of randomly picked flowers and greenery. A few tears were shed during the ceremony, then it was time to drink and lap up the sun! Speeches were phenomenal! I mean…INCREDIBLE! Then it was off to the fields of yellow to had some alone time with the couple and make some magic. They are just so in love and made it easy to capture some lovely memories for them.
The dance floor filled up with all the guests, accompanied by the band Indie Killers. If you havent heard of them, check them out and BOOK THEM! They are the best. Lots of dancing and sing alongs, before packing up the bags after a long day of having the best time.
